Grey skies are gonna clear up...
And so on and so forth. Thanks to a lot of prayers and pray-ers(you know who you are) and a little old fashioned pounding of the pavement, things are looking up.

I started a new job at the beginning of August. The office culture is good, the location could not be beat (just over two miles- walking distance when I am not too lazy), and the work is getting more interesting. The drawbacks are mostly lack of flexibility (I really miss being able to shuffle my hours around to tackle church projects and have the occasional lunch with a girlfriend) and a much higher stress level than I am used to.

Jon starts a part-time gig as a production assistant for a show at a major resort. I dunno if it would be proper to divulge too many specifics, but the resort only has three letter to its name, and is a block off The Strip. Full time would be ideal, but this is good to keep things afloat until he is recalled (We are praying for the first part of October on that one.).

The head game? That's still a stronghold I am fighting to break down. Some days are fine, and some days it is a win to get out of bed. Jon's new job will be evenings, so I can count on at least getting a little exercise after work to clear the cobwebs. That walk home will do wonders, I think.

As each day passes, I feel a little more myself. I dwell less on the uncertainties (though "less" is a rather subjective term). September will hold the key for us, but He has not let us down thus far. I am so grateful that God is faithful even when I am not.

I love the song, "He Will Not Let You Fall", when it says, "He is never weary and He will not let you fall." Sounds like things are looking up.

Continuing to Pray.

Hey, less is still good. Even if your less is someone else's more, you're still making progress.

Congrats on the job (for you and Jon). What are you doing?

Kelly, thanks for the update. I went through that for a mercifully brief period and just kept reminding myself of Romans 8:28 and others: Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I prayed that things would clarify for you soon and that this phase would strengthen your relationship with each other and with God.
